Flooring in a New Home

Choosing flooring in a newly built home can be compared to a blank canvas for a homeowner to decide what colors or textures to use in manifesting their ideal look and feel. We had the opportunity to work with our customer to make their vision a reality.

The final choice for the main living areas was Mohawk laminate style Chateau Vista color Canyon Echo Oak. Laminate flooring is an excellent choice for active homes with kids, cats, and dogs. Laminate flooring is also easy to maintain, a must for any active home.

In the areas vulnerable to water a more resilient product was needed, Armstrong Alterna Athenian Travertine color Honey Onyx  was used for the kitchen/laundry areas and Armstrong Alterna Durango color Cream for the bathrooms. Alterna is an engineered stone tile which means it is a vinyl-limestone composite, this makes it more comfortable than cold hard tile.
